Just got back from lunch about an hour ago. We drove down to Dengkil to have some 'banana leaf'. To anyone not familliar with Malaysian Cuisine, don't worry. We dont actually eat the leaf. We just eat the dishes served ON the leaf.
Also, anyone else working in Cyberjaya, will know why we drive outside of Cyberjaya to eat.
As usual, its pretty uncomfortable for me to go to Indian shops, as everyone starts talking to me in Tamil and expecting me know it. As usual, i have to reply like a dumbass, "Boss, saya tak tau cakap Tamil la". Then they'll go on asking me in questions in Tamil, about whether i really can't speak and laugh with my other friends who proceed to explain that i'm a retard who can't speak it...at all.
*sigh* One of these days, im really going to have to do something about that!
Anyways, after i overcame the humiliation of it all, i ordered drinks and such and proceeded to fill my stomach with awesomely good food .
Got back to the office an hour later, sat down at my cubicle to do some work, and thats when it hit me.
A wave of tiredness just swept over my eyes and my body. I could hardly keep awake. The alphabets on the screen started to merge with one another. The frequency of yawns began to escalate. I felt an uneasy tension of my muscles on my arms and legs, a tension that only a good strech and a nap could cure.
Thank goodness the boss left half and hour after we came back. Else i think he would have found me snoozing at my table and drooling all over my laptop. Wouldnt be a pretty sight.
This happens everytime after lunch. Its absolutely irritating! I wish i could skip lunch, but i can't. The stomach rules. If i was Prime Minister, i would make 3 hour lunch times and a comfortable sleeping room mandatory for all organizations. This is for the safety and benefit of the country. We don't want people, especialy those with very important positions to fall asleep on the job and accidentally blow up Singapore. Well, they can blow up Singapore, but not Thailand.
These people would take rotating lunch shifts, so everyone gets a turn to snooze. Its pure heavenly bliss!
If i had 3 hour lunch breaks, i'd drive back to Subang and take a snooze in me 'ol comfy bed. Ahhhh.
