We will miss your thumbsucking celebrations, goodbye Garcia!

Luis Garcia will forever be remembered by Liverpool fans all over the world for the right reasons. I for one, think we will miss him a lot. In fact, we missed him a lot during the end of last season, where we needed an enigma to unlock those stubborn opposition defences.

Luis was a player for the big occasion. Mark Platt wrote, "Without doubt he proved himself as the little man for the big occasion and, in turn, won the hearts of almost every Liverpudlian."

In the current squad, i don't think there's a player who is as delightful to watch, as he is infuriating. I can't remember the number of times i've pulled my hair out watching him trying one too many flicks and overzealous dribbles, when the sensible thing was to keep it simple, and just keep possesion.

But that is Luis Garcia. I remember a few interviews by Benitez, and though he did wish that Garcia didn't waste possesion so much, he understood that that is what he was all about. Garcia takes risks. He DARES to take risks. And though he may give the ball away 2/3 times, from the other 1/3, he makes defence splitting passes, he scores us spectacular and crucial goals, and wins us the BIG games.

He may be tiny, but he is a giant in the hearts of Liverpool fans, and will forever be remembered.
