I think this latest installment in the Bond franchise is one of the better ones. This film isn't going to win Oscars, but in comparison to the other previous modern James Bond movies, it feels like it should win an Oscar.
The movie keeps you glued to the action and the story line throughout. Didn't realise that it was quite a long movie, about 2 1/2 hours! Where the previous bond movies just seem like cartoons with real life explosions and sexy babes, this version feels realistic and thoughtful. Maybe that's because Bond is butt ugly and isn't some pretty man like Pierce Brosnan. Anyways, thats an entirely different conversation.
In spite of his appearances, i think this Bond is my favourite. Some credit has to go to the script writers, because he had some good lines throughout, as did most of the cast.
The action scenes were also very original. I like the scene where Bond chases a Madagascar bomb maker bad guy through the city. The best part was the way the bad guy tries to get away. Some kinda spiderman. You'll know what i mean when you see it.
The stand out scene, has to be the one where Bond first meets Eva Green's character in the train. The conversation they had was so damn intriguing. It was intelligent, witty and flirtatious all in one. I wonder if they teach you how to have conversations like that in Mi5 spy school?
All in all, one of the better movies of the year. Well worth the money. I'll give it my personal rating of 3/10 spits.
(RATING SYSTEM: Less spits is better. More spits is bad. E.g. if i spit 8 times on you, then you have a rating of 8/10, which is very bad and you should consider suicide.)
