Lucky Plucky Chelski

This game showed that no team should ever think Chelsea are unbeatable. After all, one of the guest pundits on Asia's ESPN's football show said that the current Liverpool team is ordinary in contrast to the current Man Yoo (let alone Chelsea). Well Mr. Pundit, if they were ordinary, why did they match the most expensively assembled team in the world this season, and even last season?

Strange game this football (or as em yanks like to call it...soccer).

Anyway, first half was evens stevens. Reina flapped a couple of times, but the defensive cover was good enough to smother any Chelsea attempts to capitalizing on the flaps. Clear cut chances were at a premium, but tackles..the 'blood and thunder' kind were a joy to watch.

Second half was all liverpool. We had 5 corners to Chelsea's ZERO. I think as the second half wore on, Chelsea decided to close up shop and steal the point. They seem to be good at that. They probably have the meanest defence in Europe, if not the world.

I must say, that i am extremely proud of Crouch's performance today. Almost every pass or lob that was aimed at him stuck to him like glue. His hold up play allowed us to keep the pressure on Chelsea (especially in the second half), and bring team-mates into play was superb. I lost count on the number of times he got fouled by Carvalho.

We deffinately should have had 2 penalties. In the first half, Drogba was guilty of a rash tackle on Hyypia(who would otherwise be clear on goal!) in the penalty box. Second half, an even more clear cut claim for a goal. Gallas clearly diverted the ball away from Cisse with the use of his upper arm.

Oh well, better luck next time boys (next time is on Sunday!). Well, all i can say is that this Chelsea team is not unbeatable. Teams have just got to start going at them, and stop showing them too much respect.

Liz? Is that you? haha..anyway, you must be a dissapointed Chelsea fan.

Arent you bored of your team yet? Ranieri's team was muhc more fun, though they probably would have never won the EPL

yeap, we should improve the strikers, but i think that will happen when we have a decent right winger! If only Figo had joined us.
