What an episode! Can't wait for the next episode now!! Its a 2-parter.
The synopsis was that another Battlestar had managed to find Battlestar Galactica and the colonial fleet. Now, if anyone else has been following, you'll understand why this is such a miracle:
- It was assumed that that Battlestar Galactica was the ONLY remaining battlestar that survived the Cylon attack.
- Having TWO battlestar's protecting the colonial fleet would dramatically increase the chances of surviving and finding a new home...Earth
The commanding officer of the 'miracle' ship is a ADMIRAL Kay. I immediately knew the first problem, was that she outranks Commander Adama, and would take over command of the fleet now, because that military procedure!
It gets worse. Admiral Kay is a serious hard-liner no-nonsense type. Pretty soon, officers are being transfered off the Galactica, court-marshalls...the works. She doesnt quite understand the ordeal that Galactica and the colonists have gone through, and that is her mistake. She tries to take over everything.
At the end of this episode, both sets of crew are set for a face-off. Adama has had enough of the overly zealous actions of the Admiral, and has launched the vipers. Being an Admiral, and egoistic, she cannot backdown, and thus launches her own fighters.
My my, arent the Cylons rubbing their hands in glee...stupid humans are back to killing themselves again.
Oh, did i mention that the Battlestar Pegasus is superior class battlestar as compared to the Galactica. Apparently, Galactica was one of the oldest battlestars in service. This is going to be good....

Nope, never watched the original series. Dont intend to now, after reading about the 'disco-dancing' on yer blog.
I have a sneaky feeling history is going to repeat itself in the current new series, eh? I just cant see Kay and Adama working together.
