I was thrilled to read in The Star today, that a man had forked out his own money to buy a tiger cub from being turned into a meal at a local restaurant. Read the article here.
One particular paragraph caught my attention:
Foo said he contacted the Wildlife Department in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, on Tuesday to come get the tiger but was told to go to its office and fill up forms instead.
Kinda shows you how concerned our local Wildlife Department is about endangered animals eh? Truly appalling.

They ought to prosecute the restaurant involved, or this will conitnue to happen without us knowing.
Yes, they should be prosecuted. But the restaurant would probably get just a slap on the wrist. By the time anything gets done, they'd probably have dished out a couple more tiger soups to its patrons.
If the damned Department of Wildlife couldnt care less to do anything, would the Department of Justice care more?
