Another typical Sunday. The beginning of my working week. I can just picture millions of Malaysians, sleeping away in comfort in their cosy little beds, knowing that the most important task of the day is putting food in their mouths.
And here i am at work, dozing off, watching tv shows, surfing the internet. *sigh* Where is the justice?
Had a moderately swell weekend. Pretty sure my friend had a good weekend. Bastard went to Redang. Hope he had a blast!
Watched a french movie for the first time (Not counting La Femme Nikita) at Midvalley with a friend. She was the expert at french movies, so i just tagged along. I kinda enjoyed it actually. It was titled "Malabar Princess". I have to say though, that the little boy who was the lead actor did an amazing job. He should have acted as Anakin in Episode I. hah! After my movie, my friend said Malabar Princess was not one of the better French movies she'd watched before. WOAH! Can't wait to watch the next one. I'll probably drag a few friends along too the next time.
After movies headed to Bangsar. The plan was to have 1 or 2 drinks (i swear, just 1 or 2! i really was just planning for a quiet night). Well, the plan was going fine till my friend got a friend from her best friend who was at Waikiki's. Ok, i heard very faint alarm bells ringings somwhere warning me of the path to Waikiki's would lead me to the dark side. Well, at least i didnt bring much money with me, so i couldnt buy myself a beer even if i wanted too! haha!
Waikiki's was crowded as usual. Saw a 2 dudes that i knew fairly well. One was a guy that works in the same building as me, we sometimes chat on our cigarette breaks. Another one is a dude that i met throught my ex. Well, my ex's sister actually. The ex sister's friend didnt recognize me or pretended not too, but i didnt care. I didnt really wanna talk to him. Raised my glass to the dude who worked in the same building. Gosh, i'll have to get his name one day...
Anyway, met up with my friends friends. Was a bit awkward as usual at first. The best friends got busy chatting away. I was left there standing there with the strangers. What fun.
Well, at least they gave me a drink so i didnt like such a loser. And i didnt mind looking like a loser with no friends. I was busy people watching. Only certain type of people. The gorgeous people. The gorgeous people of the opposite sex.
As the night dragged along, i got friendly with everybody there, and we were chatting, talking about work, making stupid jokes, drinking....and getting high. My friends best friend, we shall call her Ms.R, was a riot. She was like practically like the ambassodoress of Waikiki. Ms.R knew everyone there! Not suprising though, as she was hot. But i would say the most eye opening thing about her is her drinking abilities. She can easily put any guy to shame. I was in shame. hahahahahha! Drinking with her is scary. But good fun! Got home at about 4am i think.
Saturday was supposed to be a Poppy-ing good time, which translates to "party at Poppy" night. Went to church at SFX for the 6.30pm mass first, by myself. Its kinda relaxing, going to mass by oneself. I dont know why, but i feel more comfortable going alone. Or perhaps its the only i can be comfortable going alone and being alone, but not really be alone. I can't think of any other place where i feel this way. Hmm...
We arrived at Poppy around 11pm. Was fucked. The only reason we went was because Kuek said he was going, so we must go. And Kuek was going because his friend was having a party. Being the true indians that we were, we went along, clinging to the hope that free alcohol would be pouring down our throats. (NOTE: The sentence preceeding this is a gross exxageration of the truth, but sometimes describes certain Indian people very accurately). I guess we went because we were bored, and we liked going to Poppy. Its a very classy club. But as we got there, there was a little commotion because the party boy was underaged, and so were his buddies. Kuek eventually got them in, dont ask me how as i didnt bother asking him. But the tragedy of it all, was that the party was in the lounge-like area of Poppy!! The area with the funky band playing. Hate that place. Firstly because i cant walk around that place without ducking my head a few times as the ceiling is extremely low. Secondly, because the band plays most of the time and that sux. The real music was outside. Fucking hell.
Geez, i;ve written so much. I doubt i'll even re-read this post to check for spelling mistakes.
We opened a bottle for RM260. I met this waiter, the last time we were there. He said could get me for that price. Cool. The normal price was whisky at Poppy would be RM300++. Tipped the dude RM10 for his services. Not much i know, but we were on a tight budget.
Mr Jack Daniels. Ahh, he's good company isnt he? But he dissapeared in record time too. I barely got my money's worth. Fucking hell. I only got enough alcohol to give me a headache. Its like i've reached that level, where i need to drink more to feel tipsy, but any less, and i'll get a headache.
We left pretty early by normal standards. 2.15am. Had to send my friend back as her parents are waiting up for her. Reached home at about 4am. Stopped near by house to buy a burger special with cheese. yumm! Went home, ate the burger, washed it down with Kiwi juice and hit the sack.
Now here i am. My hattrick team is winning 5-0. Yay. I should get the top spot this week. Going to buy lunch soon. Just watched the last episode of season 5 Smallville. At the end, it was "..to be continued...". Looks like little Clarkie is turning into Superman pretty soon. oooooh
