I just took my first step towards enhancing my cd collection! i got Pearl Jam's Vitalogy! Wooooo!!! Fucking awesome album. Listening to "not for you" brings back memories of Nilai. It was one of Awkward Orange's better cover songs....Jet's drumming, Joe's vocals...deff stand out when they play it.
There's nothing like listening to live music, even though its played by some really hardcore fans, but even more so when they play it really well.
After buying the CD and feeling all warm, mushy and content with the universe, i decided to walk around Pyramid. I had nothing else to do anyway, cuz i had to wait for mum to finish whatever it is she was doing. And so i ended up in another CD shop, and fucking shit, this shop had tons of rock CD's. I wouldnt call it the ultimate rock shop, but its the best in Pyramid. Its on one of the lower ground floors, facing Pyramid. Blady Tower Records only had Miverva.
As i was browsing their CD's, i saw Deftones - Around the Fur.
I wanted to buy it. I dont care if it wasnt on the original list i made out a couple of post back. The songs are awesome. I must have it! i simply must!
Then the squasher of dreams (dry and wet) appeared and deemed it necessary to make all tracks beyond and including track No.3 utterly non-playable. Oh well, at least i got to imagine myself headbanging while i tortured my ear drums to songs 1 and 2 using the head-sets. ahhh...
Oh, ok, i'm too lazy to edit my post, but i forgot to mention earlier that i also bought and anime CD, called Macross Zero from the same shop i bought Vitalogy. In case you dont know, i'm a huge fan of Robotech. I've loved it since the first time i laid eyes on it, heard the music, and fantasized about the female characters.
It sorta learnt that Robotech was actually inspired and influenced heavily by a Japanese Anime called Macross.
The show kicks ass (somewhat draggy in between though), but the battlescenes are awesome. I am still so amazed at the level of animation, as the veritech fighters looked so life like. If i had to choose a fantasy dream vehicle, i would have me one of those.
