The referee ruined the Champions League final. Fucking stinker. Up till the 18th minute, it was the final everyone wanted it to me. 2 really attacking teams playing good football.

Sure, those on the side of the referee will say that by the letter of the law, sending off Lehmann was absolutely 100% correct. I agree.

However, sometimes, even the law can be "bent" in certain situations to serve a greater good. For example, your loved one is dying on his deathbed, in a hospital, and in your hastiness to reach him/her, you beat a few traffic lights. Now, any police officer, who upon hearing your reason for breaking the law, would be daft to issue you a summons. What the police officer should and would probably do is, shove the summons up some monkeys ass, and escort you at full speed to the hospital. You see, fracking common sense!

So, what the referee should have done, is let play go on, because even though Lehmann brough Etoo down, Etoo managed to pass the ball to Guily to score. Now, if Barcelona hadn't won last night, we wouldnt have heard the end of it. Come on ref, you've got a brain, you've proved that it exists by your ability to consistently blow a whistle. If you ever referee another final in your career, i hope you do it with more commom sense. Let the game flow. Let it be 11 vs 11. You've ruined what could have been a great game, instead of a lopsided tactical game.

Makes you wonder doesnt it, why an archaic law like this hasnt been changed yet? This dumbass law protects the rapists more than the victim. Also, if i'm not mistaken, we are living in the year 2006 right? not 1870? *cue for twilight zone theme song*
