Finally, a relevant newspaper article!

Read a damned good article in todays Star newspaper. It was basically about the education system and youths in Malaysia. The author is one Dr. Azmi Sharom.

I think the highlight of his article are these 2 paragraphs:

"And here lies the unfairness of the whole situation. Our Constitution gives us certain fundamental liberties, and laws exist in huge numbers to make sure that the practice of those liberties is tightly controlled. Yet, for our students, they are subject to an extra restriction.

Oh the irony – for at the height of their strength and vigour, in a place where the mind is supposed to explore all sorts of new ideas, the door to their personal and intellectual development is slammed shut. "
