Musik - Musik!

Sky High

I'm looking for music that sounds like Telepopmusik, Massive Attack and Gorillaz. Not sure whats it called, Trip hop? Ambience? Acid Jazz?

I'm starting to really dig this shit. Feel like burning a CD, winding down the windows, and going for a long drive. Mary J is optional.

I've noticed that my musical tastes really go hand in hand with my state of mind. Ok, so this isnt exactly mind blowing news, but its stranger and nicer to experience something than just hear about it. Ok, that isnt exactly mind blowing news either... Fuck who cares.

Someone recently commented on the writing of my blog. I hope i dont get self conscious and start analyzing everything i say.

You're such an inspiration for the ways That I'll never ever choose to be

For someone who's got a Celine Dion and Lion King CD, i am really just a rocker at heart. I pretend to be a rock star, whilst secretly wishing i was actually one. Alas, i learnt a long time ago that i'm more skillfull at listening and appreciating music than actually playing it. My classical guitar has been sitting in the storeroom, stringless since i finished my studies in Nilai. At least it was put to good use by my more musically inclined friends.

I was just talking to friend online last night before i went to bed, and Radiohead came on. These guys are musical geniuses. What i love most about their music, is their background music. The effects. Its more apparent in their newer albums. Listening to their albums from the first one all the way to the last one, you can really HEAR the evolution of the band. Some of my favourite songs are:

  • 2+2=5
  • Lucky
  • No Surprises
  • Sail To The Moon
  • Bulletprood (Wish I Was)
Ah, music. It soothes the savage soul...
