Is it just me, or is rock music these days becoming more POP? Its becoming so pop, they've even invented ROCK POP! That whole term is just mind fucking. Its so contradictory. One cannot be Rock and be Pop at the same time. Further proof that the world is about to end. That and the fact that Britney Spears is a superstar, even though she can't sing to save a ant.
In light of this catastrophe of universal porportions, i think everyone should indulge themselves in some Rock music, minus the Pop-py sounding ones. The following are the top 5 rock albums that i have head banged to and taken to other interstellar dimensions, in no particular order:
Artist: Queens of the Stone Age
Title: Songs for the Deaf
In my opinion, all the tracks on this album combine beautifully to resemble one long awesome song. With Dave Grohl on the drums, this album is guarenteed to UN-deaf. To truly appreciate this album, play this in the car, and go for a long drive to NO WHERE.
Artist: Presidents Of The United States
Title: Presidents Of The United States
You might wonder why this of all albums is in here. Its simple actually.......... This is my fucking list and i love this album. The presidents dont try to be politicial, or try to mind fuck you with intense lyrics. They just want to kill you with laughter. This is quite simply, the funniest rocking music i've ever heard. Ever seen someone head bang and laugh at the same time? Watch me when im listening to this album
Artist: Radiohead
Title: The Bends
Radiohead makes great albums. Every single one of them are awesome art works. Their music is beautifully thought out. Every single sound is like having a ear-orgasm. But 'The Bends' stands out as their best, in my opinion.
Artist: Tool
Title: Lateralus
This is the holy grail of Rock Albums. Treasure it with your life. Let your soul absorb its hidden messages. After listening to the album, download their Video clips, which were all created by their guitarist. Find Mary J, and watch their video clips with her. Its amazing how many things she tells you during the 'trip'.
Title: The Thirteenth Step
Led by Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan, this band takes rock music where no band has. Its femine, sexy and dangerous. This entire album should be put up on display in an art gallery. You will be the biggest fool of the generation to not have this in your collection.
Other albums worth mentioning:
