Its seems inevitable that Baros will be leaving the club. Benitez hesitancy to play him in any of the CL games indicate that he doesnt want to bring his transfer valuation down due to ineligibility to play in Europe.
Adios Baros. We were very proud that you are the reigning top scorer for the European Championships (not to be confused with the European Champions League). We hoped big things would materialize for you with Liverpool, god knows we love our Czechs. Now it seems that you are the Last of our Cezchs. The lot of you never had much luck with us to begin with.
Patrik Berger, one of my all time favourite players, had too many injury problems. I think any of our managers would have loved to build a team around you, but its just not possible when you are only in the team once every 10 games or so. Your work ethic is impressive for a player who exudes style and flair. Famous for em thunderbolt strikes from his left foot. A combination of Riise and Gerrard.
Smicer, who left this season to play in the French League. Even though you dissapointed for the majority of your career with Liverpool due to injuries, played out of position and just bad form, that goal you gave us at Istanbul would have ensured you left Liverpool a hero. Not that we wouldnt have loved you anyway just for having played for us, but now we love plus much much more! hah!
And finally, dear ol Baros. I wish you the best of luck and tons of goals. I have a feeling that under the right manager, that is willing to close an eye whenever you go on those headless chicken runs of yours, you will score loads and loads.
