There isnt anything as bad as that i think.

But what if you are the victim of your own actions, and thus you are chained to the consequences of the actions, and you have thrown the keys to the chain into the abyss. You've effectively fucked yourself, but not only that, your actions have fucked someone else, and there is no one that should bear the blame but your ownself.
