Took off from work today. My right arm hurt like hell when i woke up. Think i overdid it at the gym. Or maybe i overdid the beer drinking last nite at South Pacific. heh. Beer weights. Would probably only sell in America.
Kinda loving the new 50 cent song (with The Game), "Love it or Hate it". Its not the typical hip hop lyrics about drugs, sex and women. Its about deeper issues like life growing up with guns and drugs around you. I heard on the Rick Dees show a while back that 50 cent and The Game had a big "rivalry enemy trying to smoke each other" thing going on, and did something amazing. They said if they want to influence the people that listen to their music, then they gotta lead by example, and they ended that rivalry shit and became friends again, or something along those lines.
Back to South Pacific. Hmm, it was all right. Good food there. If ya dont know by now, South Pacific is a chinese restaurant over by old town PJ, near the mppj building. There's also a cheap South Pacific hotel above the restaurant, i hear its rm60 per night. I'll give ya 10 cents to guess what goes on up there. Well anyway, some dude comes round playing his guitar and singing, but in some very mad remixed English improvised lyrics. Oh well, least least he plays the guitar well. He comes by all the tables, and as he cames to our table asking for any requests, Beez immediately bursts out saying "Sweet Child Of Mine". He just had to open his mouth. By the speed of him bursting out request, i suspect my large friend was waiting for the guitar dude to come round. Anyway, what proceeded was a very bad rendition of Sweet "gurl" of Mine. Don't know when gnr changed the lyrics, but this guy knew.
I gave him rm5, not because he was any good, but because i symphatize with local musicians in our Country. Shine once told me that local artists earn less than RM1 for every album they manage to sell (if i'm not mistaken). Sad eh. Next, someone from our table requests a song, but the guitar dude somehow manages to squirm us into buying him a beer for a few songs. I dont think none of us especially wanted to sit and talk to a stranger that night, but we were trapped. There was NO good way of telling him he can't join us without looking or sounding like a rude son of a bitch. And i think no one particularly appreciated the fact that we were forced to buy him a beer. Thankfully, a small beer costs very little, about RM5++, so its no biggie. We can live with that, knowing that we helped a poor ( we assume he was ) and struggling man.
We learn a lot bout the guitar dude(most of it probably bull shit, but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt) like he is actually a kadazan from sabah......
- real name is Samuel
- married a malay woman here and changed name to Abdullah
- has 3 kids - oldest boy an aircraft tech with the military in Lumut and 2 girls in ITM
- in sabah/sarawak, there is this sweet tasting natural alcohol (like tapai) that is drunk from a straw at the bottom of the jar and gets you out with a whallop! takes 40 days to make apparently.
- he has a waja at home which he never uses. i dont know which is dodgier, the fact that he has a waja or that he never uses it. hmm
- Doesnt know any Aerosmith songs
Oh, and whats with the bumps on the road infront of pyramid! Its blady irritating! Its bad enough my car is about to fall apart, dont make it worse damnit! *sigh* i shall say no more. All you who've been to Pyramid lately know what bumps i'm talking bout.

tuak...tapai...watever it is..me gotta get drunk on that shit one day! hahaha
ure right, it is. so damn easy! but i prefer to stay as polite as possible even when i'm drunk as a pig. Its always better to let the other person be the rude SOB, then at least no one will blame u when u beat the crap outta him. :)
