Just another Sunday

Sundays. I hate it, and i love it, sometimes. I work on Sundays, which is crappy. But that more or less means i only work on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Confused? Ok, let me give you the "low-down", like they say in the movies.

• I work in a Datacenter
• I work 12 hours a day

Consequently,

• I only have to work 4 days a week
• which are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays

So, since there's hardly any work todo at all on Sundays, i essentially work 3 days a week only.

The shitty part about this is that my Saturday nights are more of less restricted. No more extremely early morning comebacks. *sigh*

So what do i do on Sundays? In general, i try to get a bit of work done. Got some projects coming up, so i can't say that i've got NO work at all. But there's a lot more free time as compared to Monday-Wednesday. I mean i can't be expected to work 12 hours straight can i? A man must have his play time!

Play time generally consists of any or all of the following in no particular order:

• Sleepin
• Watching downloaded movies
• Watching downloaded TV series
• Reading crap online
• Talking crap online

Take today for example, in between my work, i've watched 3 TV series. I started off with Star Trek: Enterprise. The new episodes are finally coming out. Woohoo! Too bad the series is ending, its being cancelled. Many Trekkers like me didnt take it too kindly. In fact, a lot got off their asses and did something. Its a movement to save the series. So far, they've collected nearly RM3 million to try and save the show, or convince another company to take over production (like SciFi Channel). I'm hoping i manage to sort my credit card out soon, so i can make a contribution.

After quenching my thirst for Sci-Fi, i realized i needed more. In came Smallville. In the latest episode, Lex somehow gets cloned in some freak lab accident, but each clone personifies his contrasting soul. One is evil, the other good. I knew, that in the end, ol' Supes would find a way to put them both together, but i wished the writers would have been bolder, like making the Evil one kill of the Good one. Then you could at least put the whole timeline thing together to explain how Lex became so damned evil. I still wonder if there are ever gonna fit the timelines together with the Superman story.

Last, but not least, there's CSI. Not that Miami crap, or the lame NY bullshit. The original series. You gotta love Grissom. He's the hero of nerds all over the world. Catherine Willows is the opposite of sorts to Grissom. Off course she's smart, but she worked as a stripper, studied and became a CSI. Only in the movies. But there is deffinately lots of sex appeal in this woman. Hot and Smart. Yet again, another character that scores with the nerds.

I got grossed out a few times in this episodes. Imagine putting your thumbs on the edges of a dead man's eye, and as you gently press down, blackish liquid starts to seep out from all around the dead man's eye. Eeew. Don't you just feel like watching it now? Check out more about the episode here
