Well, more deaths from Indon (Aceh). No tsunami thoughs, just a small one about 4 inches in some obscure island somewhere.
About 300 ppl dead (lets spare a prayer for them at least eh), from collapsed houses or so, but apparently its hard to make sure, because its pretty dark. Will have to wait a few more hours for a proper investigation.
The UN is sending in some choppers to scope out the area, to see how bad the devastation is. Poor ppl, how to they rebuild? Some other earthquake or tsunami might come again and destroy everything. Same goes for everyother country that is affected by large scale natural disasters.
What doesnt kill you make can only make you stronger. Its a good line, and we should remember it more often in everything we do.
We here in malaysia, particular those NOT in Penang and Kedah should take for granted how lucky we are not to live with that kind of fear. Even so, the fears of the people in those states are nothing compared as to the people in Indonesia.
The end of the world? Who knows. Perhaps God has finally lost patience with us, and giving us warnings of impending doom. So what should we do? Only now start to pray when times are bad? Only come closer to God because we dont want to go to hell?
And what if this isnt the end of the world? Do we then dismiss God because we arent going to die yet? Off course not. But its always easier to be close to God when we are down, suffering, and alone. My dear cousin once told me that we always find God when we are at our lowest. How true. Now if only we "remember to remember" him when he brings us to to our highest.
